Cooking her way to the top
Like most immigrants of the day, it was inevitable that once enough money had been saved, it would be invested in a Mixed business. It was out of a humble Milk Bar / Sandwich bar that Miss Pickle found her calling. She could not understand why people went so crazy for her sandwiches. There was no great secret, just the freshest of breads and fillings, generous portions and all put together with love. “I will never sell anything to a customer that I wouldn’t feed to my Kids”. Many successful businesses were built on this philosophy over the next 30+ years. Sandwich bars, takeaways & restaurants, all thrived off the love, passion & traditional methods used to prepare and serve the food.
